Principal^® and Principal^® Foundation:

Principal and Principal Foundation have a long history of contributing to the communities in which we live and work.

Principal supports eligible community organizations through sponsorships and in-kind donations. Principal Foundation makes grants that advance its charitable mission. These are separate programs with different guidelines and application processes.

Before you begin, review the guidelines for the type of support you are seeking:

Principal sponsorships and in-kind donations: Review the program guidelines to determine whether your proposed request is eligible. Applications for events or programs must be submitted at a minimum of 90 days before your earliest print deadline. Requests are reviewed on a quarterly basis on or about the 15th of March, June, September, and December. The application portal is open all year; however, applications will only be reviewed during the times noted.

Current Principal Foundation grantees are not eligible to request a sponsorship. Principal employees are prohibited from submitting applications for sponsorships or in-kind donations on behalf of organizations.

Principal Foundation grants: Principal Foundation operates an invitation-only grantmaking process. Review the grant guidelines and our website before contacting us about a potential invitation. An invitation, prior grant, or account on this portal does not guarantee future funding. To support a range of organizations, Principal Foundation periodically rotates grantees out of its portfolio at its discretion, typically after the organization has received grant awards in two successive grant cycles.
